Univox presents...

A Light of Song

2019-03-23

Univox proudly presents ‘A Light of Song’, a concert of a cappella pieces celebrating spring, rebirth, and creativity. The program includes works by celebrated Canadian composers Eleanor Daley and Stephen Chapman, as well as American contemporaries Eric Whitacre, Sydney Guillaume, Randall Stroope and Frank Ticheli. We offer works from the traditional canon by Pearsall, Hansel, and Schütz. Highlights include the Canadian premiere of Guillaume's Alleluia Amen for double-choir, Whitacre's Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine and When David Heard, and Schütz’ double-choir motet Jauchzet dem Herren alle Welt.
