A concert of musical settings by mystical poets, including the great Persian mystics Rumi and Khayyam, plus poetry by Kalidasa, Khalil Gibran and more. The program featured guest artists Sina Bathaie (santur), Ariel Balevi (storyteller), Sheniz Janmohamed (poet), Tahirih Vejdani (soprano), and pianist Wade Bray. Eleanor Daley's piece for triple-choir, Salutation of the Dawn, was a highlight, as well as Adolphus Hailstork's Seven Songs of the Rubaiyat. Univox also premiered new works by composer-in-residence Patrick Murray; two settings of poems by Canadian confederation poet Charles G.D. Roberts.
