About The Event

UNIVOX CHOIR is proud to present their winter musical offering "Goodness Matters". The evening will include choral works representing goodness throughout the world - from Bulgarian folk tradition celebrating unions (Kaval Sviri and Dilmano, Dilbero), to celebrations of idealism through texts by Langston Hughes set to music by Rosephanye Powell (To Sit and Dream and I Dream a World).

The evening will also feature Ola Gjeilo’s Dreamweaver - a seven movement piece detailing the Norwegian visionary poem Draumkvedet, where protagonist Olav Åsteson encourages others to seek charity and compassion after falling asleep and dreaming for 12 days beginning on Christmas Eve.

TICKETS

  • $25, or $30 with a $5 donation to the the choir 
  • Children 12 and under are free
  • Cash and Card accepted
  • Intermission will include a Bake Sale with donations supporting the choir.

NOTES

  • Online ticket sales will end 2 hours before the start of the concert (5pm ET). Tickets are still available for purchase at the door by cash or card.
  • The venue is wheelchair accessible.
  • COVID-19 Protocols: Univox Choir is following all Health Canada, Public Health Ontario, and Toronto Public Health guidelines. As government, organization, and venue guidelines evolve, so may these safety measures.
